Fight Averted In Rd 2 Of 2017 Irish Ch
Some top secret, heretofore never seen video footage has emerged of some critical moments towards the very end of the game between Conor O Donnell and Alex Lopez in which the arbiter and Alex Lopex appear to be having some animated discussions about proceedings. Thankfully there was no fight and nobody was injured or hurt.
Round two of the 2017 Irish ch was a tense affair and after having stopped all games and then moved play from one room to another the game between Conor O Donnell and Alex Lopez saw some dramatic twists and turns in which Conor was clearly winning at a couple of points, only to let the win slip and allow Alex a drawn rook and pawn endgame.
The reason for the games having to be moved was because of the loudness of a country music band and singer in a room nearby.
